This is about Hillary's treatment of a staffer who engaged in sexual misconduct.
It seems to me this is a great example of not treating everything in a black and white fashion. One of the reasons I so like Hillary.

(6,297 posts).... an opportunity for winning the Bestest Liberal in the World title. An opportunity to be offended by something. An opportunity to display their equal opportunity outrage. Mainly, an opportunity to take another cheap shot at Hillary Clinton. They will then start demanding her resignation from........ something.

(9,527 posts)I don't know the specific allegations against the Clinton campaign staffer. But to take another case in the news, that would be a joke to do to Nassar.

(2,316 posts)Obviously if more than a dozen victims go public about a high-ranking serial abuser there is no problem.
Obviously if that same abuser's campaign manager physically assaults a female reporter there is no problem.
So if a female politician does not discipline an employee severely enough, tge Repugs in the House will no doubt laucg a new committee for at least a year-long "investigation" so they can selectively dribble out fake leaks.

(35,875 posts)No cause to be supported.
No mandatory jail time. That's a problem in a lot of narratives about "so-and-so did __________ and wasn't prosecuted." Often it's because the person involved chose not to press charges. Even in cases of forcible rape, if the woman refuses to testify conviction is difficult. And then the entire "so-and-so wasn't prosecuted" becomes an implicit "the woman didn't do her civic duty and press charges and testify." We don't finish the chain of assumptions there because it gets offensive.
Etc.
