trump/FOX symbiotic relationship
I was just listening to Dean Obedallah on satellite radio and he and a guest were discussing how trump gets much of his tweet material from FOX—many times word-for-word, and uses it in an ingenious way that's never been done before by tweeting it and since it came from the president it would be picked up and command the news cycle for the day or even longer.
IMO they were giving trump w-a-a-a-y too much credit as something similar, but in a reverse way, was done before, albeit in print and not social media, during the Iraq war of W's administration. The difference of course was that Darth Vader Cheney and others would plant info in the NYT via Judith Miller which would then be picked up by other media outlets and then echoed endlessly by W/Cheney admin sources and sycophants on FOX, limpballs and other right wing media clarions.
The difference of course is that Cheney and the Bush admin were the ones creating the material and planting it in the media to dominate the news cycle. In trumps case, he is being prompted by the FOX right wing cabal as to what to tweet, which he does dutifully.
There is nothing ingeniously clever to what trump is doing as he is not the one planting material in the media, the material is being planted in trump's jello brain by FOX.
Obedallah gives trump credit for doing something which is not the case at all. I was driving and wasn't able to call into his show to give my opinion.
