A question re:Russian investigation, obstruction of justice, money laundering and other crimes.

IF Trump is charged with obstruction of due process, will they continue the investigations of other crimes they have run across during the investigation? I don't mean to sound greedy, but I am because, after all Trump has put our country through, I think we have earned his imprisonment for all charges IF he is guilty.

I also feel those around him who enabled his crimes and helped him cover them up should spend time and all of these clowns made to pay back money they illegally obtained while in the employ of the U.S. govt. from Russia and other countries which aided Russia in their crimes against our country. The only punishment that will make an impression on any of these Republicans is to confiscate their money and assets. What has this investigation cost so far? What have all the repeals of Obama's programs cost and what will it cost to put them back in operation?

I'm just afraid they will find Trump guilty of a lesser charge and let them all off the hook.

Maybe the NY Attorney General will step in and pursue the money laundering for at least the Trump/Kushner families.

that they'll go for all of it.

However, as with Papadopolous, they might let this one or that one off with far lesser charges IF they cooperate. They might let Trump off with this or that under certain circumstances (leaving office?? Other than that, I have no idea).

I have faith that Mueller is totally dedicated to what he's doing. I think he sees SO MUCH corruption, and he's intent on rooting it out.

The variouis AGs -- esp. Schneiderman in NY -- are also intent, IMO, on pursuing the crimes they can which aren't pardonable by POTUS. These are money laundering and who knows what else? I'm particularly interested in the money laundering because the punishment for those crimes involves forfeiture of all the property gained in the commission of the crimes. Wheeeee!

So have faith. We've just got to keep Mueller on the job and the investigation intact.

One good side to this whole scenario is that we have had some Democrats show promise as future candidates for POTUS or great leaders to try to straighten out the government so we can get back to being leaders of the world. We've lost a lot during the chaos of this administration, but it is still within memory so we can put it all back together again.

The republicans involved must be punished to put the brakes on future government employees with criminal intent. If the Ryans and McConnells get by with their involvement, Katie bar the door for the future.

So let's keep up the investigation into an actual crime!

Only Clinton was re-elected in the middle of that. I'd rather have Trump out with prosecutors everywhere harassing him daily.

From what we've learned could be involved, this is so "Yuge" I can't imagine Mueller can encompass it all. I would imagine that Trump's hatred for our legal agencies would be something he should keep hidden. That would be the last group he should antagonize.

off with lesser charges in return for their cooperation. It is a standard prosecutor's technique so that he can get the bigger fish. tRump is the biggest fish. I kinda doubt anybody will be feeling generous by the time they reel him in.

But I agree with you about letting them all off with minor charges, especially that sack of orange excrement. My confidence in my govt. has been slammed by the Nixon pardon, Iran-contra, S&L crisis, 9/11, WMDs, crash of 2008--even Obama looking forward and not back. None of the higher ups or rich ever pay. It needs to be different, starting now.

For years, the Republicans have just assumed that if they ignore these violations by Republicans, everyone else will, as well. Good ol' boys, and all. Let a Democrat screw up and it's a major offense. That must stop. The Democrats need to stand up against the Republicans circling of wagons...expose them for what they are. Don't let them just resign, charge them for their crimes. How have so many of these politicians become millionaires? What have all these millions of dollars donated for campaigns been used for? Are those funds looked at closely? I don't think so. How many of those $20 dollar bills go into pockets and never see a campaign expenditure?

Starting now! Yes!
