I wish these on-air so-called journalists read the same news aggregators that I do

I feel I get a good view of the big picture with my newsfeed but also have a better grip on the details and the players in this Trump-Russher-thing

And, more than that, I am able to yell at my TV, live fact-checking these Trump apologists in real-time point for point until I get too disheartened and then watch cat videos..

The question is, why can't these hosts do more real-time fact-checking? They are paid millions of dollars.
They should be prepping better. No question in my mind. They should definitely have better questions prepared when they get their two minutes with whatever Senator or Trumpologist.

And what the hell are their producers doing, with these repeat guests over and over?

Hosting a panel of heads every single show is NOT journalism and it's not "news" -- it's the exact same thing as hosting a talk show. Like the View or some morning wake-up/coffee/make-up/celeb show.

I expect more scoops.
I expect more interviews.
I expect these journos to have teams of well-read, debate-champion fact-checkers sitting just off-camera, feeding them counter-points and facts on a screen somewhere.

I expect some INVESTIGATIVE journalism (newly discovered breaking scoops) from people being paid $11 million dollars a year.

I also expect we need to change our tactics and start writing the show producers directly -- giving them lists of better questions, better guests, better topics to cover. I think 90% of the inanity on TV news hours comes from the show producer getting a stupid idea or not doing the work and just phoning it in, booking the same guests over and over. Look at how great a show can be when you have a GREAT producer -- Lawrence O'Donnell has Kyle Griffin. Rachel Maddow has Cory Gnazzo.

Okay, enough ranting, I gotta get to work.
