Prosecutors release names of 6 'secret' witnesses in George Zimmerman case

Prosecutors in the George Zimmerman second-degree murder case on Tuesday released the names of six "secret" witnesses, all of them neighbors who lived near where Trayvon Martin was fatally shot.

They include a 13-year-old boy who told police that moments before he heard a gunshot, he saw a man with a red jacket on the ground.

That's important because there's been a dispute about which person was on top during a fight that turned into a wrestling match between Zimmerman, 28, and Trayvon, an unarmed 17-year-old from Miami Gardens.

Zimmerman was wearing a reddish-orange jacket. Trayvon was wearing a dark gray hoodie.

"Coached". One or two of them re-canted saying a cop suggested Zimmerman was on the bottom. This witness might be one of them.

Even at night I can see pretty well on my street in front of my house because of the lights in the neighborhood.

2. Question: How close to Trayvon was Zimmerman's gun when it went off? Forensics

should be able to determine that.

If Trayvon was on top of Zimmerman, then the distance would be less that a foot at the absolute most. If the distance was greater than that, I'd have real trouble believing Zimmerman's story.

It is law that the prosecution share all information with the Defense, witness names included.

If Zimmerman got out of his car and chased him down for no good reason and after being told by the police disptacher not to, then I don't see why he should have had a right to shoot Trayvon Martin just because he had been losing a fight resulting from his inappropriate behavior.

But even so, I doubt a young skinny kid could take down a guy that big very easily. Zimmerman is a bully and was probably in full bully role the whole time.
