Still insisting that President Obama is a Muslim. He's a high school graduate, former male model and quasi-actor. If I was on that panel, I'd be peppering him with government and civics related questions, right about now.
Joy and Sonny are doing a great job, though.
The bar has really been lowered, for running for office.

Big day for those RNC Convention speakers.

(70,762 posts)So is the SABATO dude unopposed or otherwise likely to win in his district? Yeah, he's a dim bulb, and this type blame being blacklisted on their wingnut views instead of on their dim-bulbness and low talent level - think: the wingnut BALDWIN brother, Bo DEREK, Victoria JACKSON, et al.
FactyDude
(41 posts)But awash with external funding he will win.
It will be him vs Brownley. Julia is favored but he's a real threat and I'd call it a "Lean Democratic" seat today.

(26,308 posts)When you really dig into his background, personal life and career - wow. Another case of talking the talk but not being willing to walk the walk. I have never seen him in any film or tv show but Joy did bring up his gay porn acting background. I have no idea if it was hard core or soft core but only time will tell if it could become an issue.
FactyDude
(41 posts)They weren't porn at all... normal B-Movies where he portrayed a gay guy.
Better to focus on his Trump-love rather than make up shit.

(26,308 posts)I've never seen him in anything. Didn't even realize he ever did anything other than the underwear ads.
From listening to him in his interview, I got the impression that he should stick with his "day job". He's another glaring example of why I believe there needs to be some qualifications added to any application for a legislative position - like having to be able to pass a civics/government exam and maybe toss in the citizenship exam. I'll give him that one - he took it before he became a citizen. It would just be interesting to see if he remembers anything he learned.

(70,762 posts)He's got SO many contradictions in being a wingnut - hanging out with the haters of many of his facets. He just weaseled his way out by saying he hasn't discussed anything with PENCE. It all goes back to your O.P., that he's in over his head.
FactyDude
(41 posts)And Julia Brownley is under a real threat.
She's a very quiet worker in D.C. and can be seen as having few legislative accomplishments.
And I've personally heard more than a few "ooohs and ahhhss" about Antonio in day to day life.
I plan on redoubling my efforts this year. We can't lose the shot at a majority by losing ANY seats.

(26,308 posts)Same old same old as most trumplodytes say. When he was challenged on anything, like the whole 'Obama is a Muslim thing, he'd mutter. I think he's just running to keep his name in the public eye, because his acting career doesn't seem to be doing that. They showed a clip from his Netflix show (can't remember the name) and the acting in the short clip was cringe worthy.

(297,850 posts)a Muslim.. but he's not. So this Sabato is lying his stupid ass off.. and I'm sure all the the View Women know it.. even Meghan.

(24,273 posts)We have Julia Bronley (D) here and the folks love her.
We also have two Democratic women representing us in the state capital in the House and Senate here too.
Along with our two women US senators.
Sabato is in for a world of hurt if he runs.

(41 posts)He will have all the $$ in the world and has a guaranteed 40% base.
We MUST work hard and push for every seat. It would be a shame to upset Knight in 25 but lose 26 because Westlake Village Yoga-moms/dads line up to vote for Sabato Jr.
Pretend every seat is a toss up.

(41 posts)I'm guessing he will do better in the Conejo Valley, TO, WLK VLG, NP and Moorpark... but the West half of the county should be BRIGHT blue. Oxnard, Ojai and Ventura are pretty BLUE.
