Lawrence O'Donnell's Rewrite tonight.....Had me in tears.....

Last edited Fri Feb 9, 2018, 12:43 AM - Edit history (1)

Incredible and gut wrenching to hear him read tweets from women who had been abused by their significant others in light of the scandal now racking the Trump Administration and John Kelly.

Thank you, Lawrence, for this.

I was in tears for the women who suffered at the hands of deplorabe men because I have bad memories of my father's verbal abuse of my mother and Middle sister when I was younger. Words hit deeper and harder because the scars never heal.

Lawrence with me, while I had tears streaming down my face. At the commercial he said "Mama who gets married and then hits their wife?" I have no answer. I have few words tonight.

That is how boys grow up to be good men who marry women they love and will give their lives for.

And it helps too when they have father's who have done the same.

I tell that kid up and down every day how much I love him. His dad is a great role model for being a good man. We're fortunate people. I hope Rob Porter's ex-wives and girlfriends are in better places now. I hope their stories are blazing the path for better lives for all women. I hope General Kelly is unemployed very soon.

He has SO MUCH wrong with him that make him unworthy of BEING in the White House, let alone helping lead it. Active, ardent racist and misogynist.

Or maybe Marla Maples Trump? I have a feeling if he tried anything with Melania, she'd kick his ass.

She seems to be making bad choices about men. Trump, Lewandowski, Porter. I wonder if she’s got a support system.

I can remember making some poor decisions and dating some questionable guys back in my twenties and my dad made it his business to get in my face about it. I was really mad at him at the time and he said what he always said which is "this isn't the first or the last time you'll be pissed at me. You need to straighten up and fly right missy." I usually got my shit together after his "big picture" talks. I wonder who is the voice of reason for Hope Hicks? I predict a crash and burn for her.

Seeing and hearing these womens stories and knowing my own and then seeing and hearing the response from Kelly and Trump and the White House has me not sleeping and really upset.

Watching Trumps comments today about Rob Porter made me scream....not one mention of the women or that domestic violence is wrong...
