Dear Rand Paul

I couldn't help but notice during your crazy rant how you made the reference "if you're against the Obama deficits how can you be in favor of republicans deficits"?

Well you're half right.

Once again, like most republicans, you're confusing debt and deficit. There was no "Obama deficit" the way you're trying to portray. You see, when Obama was inaugurated, he inherited an economy that was losing between 600,000 and 700,000 jobs per month. Let me re type that. Minus 600,000 and 700,000 jobs. Imagine what that did to the deficit, with all those workers unemployed and unable to pay income taxes. Here's a nice chart to illustrate for you.

?t=1518085063

Do you notice how that deficit you reference exploded early in the Obama years due to said job loss, and do you notice how it steadily decreased to the end of his second term? So I'm a little confused as to the "Obama deficit" you mentioned.

Now, you of course you remember that tax cut scam you and your republicans gleefully imposed just a few weeks ago? Now that is what is going to increase the deficit, to the tune of a staggering 1.5 trillion. THAT is what you should be concerning you, yet you and your republican cronies celebrated that like it was New Year Eve.

So to re cap, Obama left you and your cohorts a solid economic tail wind, which your freakishly incompetent president wants to take credit for, and now your republican tax cut scam is in line to explode the deficit and lead to chaos.

Anyway you may want to share this with your republican cronies and keep in mind down the road who really fucked this country.

They're not going to tell the truth on this. They certainly will not be saying anything about the tax scam they just passed and the deficit.

Because I'm pretty sure it rose in Obama's final year?

Also it was a commendable effort from Obama to lower the deficit from the recession he was handed, but $600 Billion I'm afraid was only back to what it was in the final years of the Bush administration, which was considered far too high back then.

Was also because Obama put our two wars on the books that horrible Bush/Cheney had just put on a credit card. It was their way of hiding true costs. Now that the Thugs are in change again, it will all be royally screwed up, as we’re seeing.

I was about to post that. That was the biggest issue. The wars were black box expenditures until the BHO administration did the right thing by making the costs transparent.

And found myself in general agreement with him regarding pentagon audits and spending and the lack of transparency in the overall budget process. What lost me was the nicely prepared charts, that obviously took considerable time to setup and print. At that point it degenerated into theater and an inside joke foisted upon the public by the leadership for the breathless coverage of the 📺 talking heads.

The whole thing smelled to me.
