BREAKING NEWS: Location, time period selected for Trump military parade.

According to an official with the Department of Defense, the parade will be held at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and will likely take place anywhere from late 2019 to the middle of 2020. Trump and several other senior White House officials will be asked to attend and will be given an up close and personal view of the parade grounds via van transportation provided by the installation.

The official noted that Fort Leavenworth had "a wide assortment of tanks, helicopters and various other heavy armaments." He added that following the parade, Trump would be asked to stay for a "yet to be determined" amount of time in order to get a better appreciation of Fort Leavenworth's best known resources.

The parade is a dose of nationalism to give right-wingers boners in the run-up to the 2020 general election.

If they want up to 2 years to plan this "parade", I think they're going to make it a big one.

Speaking of big one, I can't think of a bigger more tempting target for terrorism. The cynic in me thinks that Trump is deliberately trying to provoke a terrorist attack in order to give him an excuse for military action - and the uptick in popularity that comes with it - so he and the Repubs can firm up their grip on power.

By that time, given the scope of Mueller's investigation and the mountains of evidence they've amassed, I'm thinking the 'yet to be determined' time will be a prison sentence, and the 'appreciation of Fort Leavenworth's best known resources' might be from within a cell.
