The thing is, our government is primarily staffed by career professionals who do not hold appointed jobs. Accordingly, these civil servants continue their work regardless of which party controls the White House. I suspect that Ms. Brand was one of those careerists.

Can't remember if is was Rachel or Chris hosting, but the impression I got is that she definitely is a rather conservative Republican with good legal chops and probably enough integrity (from what people were saying) to not cooperate in trying to end a valid investigation by Mueller.
