...the Constitution defines treason very narrowly. The Founders did so, because the English governments had used "treason" against any and all supposed enemies for centuries, often unjustly. But Trump is a traitor in every sense that matters. If Congress doesn't hold him to account, there are no democratic "rules" anymore...and God knows what that means in the long run. The end of liberal democracy, for one.

Subversion refers to a process by which the values and principles of a system in place are contradicted or reversed, an attempt to transform the established social order and its structures of power, authority, hierarchy, and norm (social). Subversion can be described as an attack on the public morale and, "the will to resist intervention are the products of combined political and social or class loyalties which are usually attached to national symbols.

The Trump gang and the Republicans who are in cahoots with them, by subverting our democratic values and institutions, are aiding and abetting a hostile foreign power and doing Putin's bidding. They're not upholding the US Constitution, but giving aid and comfort to the enemy. They're all playing Putin's game, no matter whatchya call it.

The words 'treason" and "traitor" seem to go hand in hand for most folks and Trump and his minions are definitley traitors to all we hold dear.

I have no idea why they are silent on this issue.

The very democracy is at stake.

I cannot find any reason that such actions and demands could ever be taken as partisan. In fact it could help their image as defenders of the Republic. It is sickening to watch days go by...tick tick tick...with no plans being made to at least temporarily, for the next one or two elections, set up a paper ballot system, until any permanent safeguards are put in place in regards to voting machines. And Democrats sitting on their hands with their lips zipped shut on the issue.

Paper ballots won’t help us.

We need to fix Facebook and Twitter and start exposing Limbaugh and Fox as the tools of oligarchs - both Russian and US oligarchs.

Listen to slate’s recent podcast with Molly McKew, or read her story at Politico. The Russians hacked American minds with propaganda.

There is more than one front on the battle lines.

Brainwashing can be reversed. De-programing can be effective. That will take time though.
Meanwhile, cheating by deleting voter registrations or even flipping the vote count is not reversible.
The GOP has been using a multi-faceted attack for decades. One by itself may not work. But add what you brought up, with voting computer hacking, plus Crosscheck, plus voting suppression efforts like reduced hours and reduced polling stations. Strict voter ID requirements. It all adds up.

On that front, I always thought Democrats should have called Republican and Fox News's bluff long ago. If the news media is too far overwhelmingly liberal, then Dems should have suggested a new Fairness Doctrine to ease conservatives fears. Speak directly to the public. A law to make sure, gal dangit, that all stations guarantee and provide the precious conservative voice for 50% of the time. No more will libtards be able to run rough shod over the news talk media in the country! They'd be reduced to only 50% of radio hosts and radio prime time! Yeeee Ha! All those brainwashed idiots would be mighty confused when the GOP in Washington nixes the idea.

I shouldn’t have said paper ballots don’t matter. They do. But we shouldn’t focus on them to the exclusion of the social media propaganda, which also had a huge effect in last years election.

The GOP and likely the Russians bought facebook ads targeting PA voters designed to suppress turnout. WE STILL DON’T KNOW WHAT THOSE ADS SAY. Facebook is keeping them secret. America needs answers from Facebook and Twitter.

That cannot be stated unequivocally, just as the opposite cannot be stated in the same fashion. The simple fact is that there is no way to know for certain if they hacked votes or not wherever there is no paper trail to be checked (numerous states). The fact that we have seen video after video of hackers breaking into electoral systems provides circumstantial evidence. My gut instinct tells me that - wherever there is no paper trail - the machines were hacked and people working with the GOP and Russians changed votes. I don't have proof of that so I can't state it unequivocally, I just know it must be true. It looks like a duck, waddles like a duck, quacks like a duck, smells like a duck, swims like a duck, lays eggs like a duck, flies like a duck, ...!

Remember what Eric said, "My father only sees green!" Same with Putin and the oligarchs. They don't care about people's lives. It is all about getting as much money and power as they can. They won't do anything about it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyberwarfare

Cyberwarfare involves the battlespace use and targeting of computers and networks in warfare. It involves both offensive and defensive operations pertaining to the threat of cyberattacks, espionage and sabotage. There has been controversy over whether such operations can be called "war". Nevertheless, nations have been developing their capabilities and engaged in cyberwarfare either as an aggressor, defendant, or both.

All aspects of what the Russian hacking and interference means in real life. Like how it’s done, why it’s done and what the results are. Like a thriller movie showing how people vote and how that vote is changed and then counted as a vote for the person the voter did Not vote for. How disinformation is spread and so forth.

The second thing is what exactly climate change means. How only a small increase in heat has a effect on world wide changes in climate.

This can be done quite well with CGI. Show what it would be like for extended droughts to turn all of central California into a desert. How the great forests of the Western states will burn up because of these droughts and at some point in the future they will stop growing back. How winters in the Midwest and North East and all water related weather will freeze, flood and destroy the land, crops and population centers.

How, if only narrow coastal areas stay relatively unchanged, the rest of the people in affected areas will move to the coasts, creating an overwhelming refugee problem that will cause too much strain for the ecosystem to to survive. No one on the planet will survive either literally or in any way well enough to even call it survival.

If they did this it would work. It would stop being just some abstract idea that’s too difficult to comprehend. It would show how everyone would be affected.
