1. Um, yeah. Not just Russia, though. Its a risk with every hostile nation against the US.

All of Trump’s “scandals” are security risks for the US. Any and every nation out there with intelligence against him (which considering how freaking loose he has been with his past transgressions isn’t going to be limited to one) could use it against this administration. Factor in how clannish they are and how they lie constantly to coverup his transgressions... we’re all in a very precarious position right now.

4. It's an infidelity issue, which is much less serious

Plus, his base loves the fact that he did it with a porn star. That just proves what a virile man he is. These are the reasons why it's a good distraction that tRump will welcome.
