Which is probably what sets me apart from the people who want to keep ignoring these shootings.

We need more people to feel some empathy for these children and their families. I think if we work on it, that’s a doable goal with a portion of the population out there. Not the extremist, but other people who are just more comfortable living in a bubble pretending this will never reach them.

It’s going to take all of us in the end. This isn’t something one person alone can do, but together we can make a difference.

I believe there’s more of us who care than who don’t, we just need to reach the others who are less involved and vocal. That’s my personal goal. I know we all have our own lives to live, but if we could spread the word where and when we can, that’s an undeniable asset that would be appreciated. All I’m asking of people is that we all care about all these children effected by these acts of violence. Past, present and future. It seems like such a small request, but it’s become a monumental endeavor. It’s strange how that can happen.

These vile misanthropes exist without shame, compassion, morality, or sense of community. They are a constant danger and aren't fit to live anywhere near decent people.

I can't imagine the pain the parents, relatives and friends of the slain children are feeling. And the only people receiving my "thoughts and prayers" are the bastards that let this shit go on, and on, and on, and on. They're not nice thoughts and prayers.

She never mentioned guns.
I had a child later in life born in 1997. She was in middle school when she started becoming anxious and worried about getting shot at school. That will break your heart that an 8, 10, 12-year old should ever have to think of that.
