I live in South Florida.
We have to put up enough with the Madman's weekly vanity jaunts down to his palace by the sea in Palm Beach.
That's bad enough.
Now in the face of another horrific tragedy, right in our back yard, I'm sure there will be some call to get him to come down to Stoneman-Douglas High School and offer some "comfort."
Well, I'm not interested in any of his "comfort."
He's bereft of genuine empathy and incapable of thinking about anyone other than himself.
He cannot offer any words that will help heal. And certainly he isn't one to call for action to address these types of tragedy.
We all saw how he treated the people of Puerto Rico.
So, please, Mr. Trump, skip this. Don't even try. You can't comfort us, you are not a leader, you have no courage or moral authority and we're better off without the charade of pretending you care, because you know you couldn't care any less. And you won't do anything more than offer a few fleeting words of pity.
I don't want you here.
