Teabaggers being scammed

One of the papers I print has an article in tomorrow's edition that says someone is calling Tea Party members, claiming to be a national Tea Party Organization, and asking for contributions.

There IS no national Tea Party organization, and the people asking for the money are believed to be confidence men.

I realize no one here would donate to the tea party (some of us would donate to a charity seeking to get rid of it, but that's different), but many of us have teabagger relatives so...use as necessary.

2. The "Tea Party" has been a scam from day one.

The original Boston Tea Party was a drunken party.

Today's Tea Party is funded by super-rich robber barons like the Koch Brothers, run by dirty-trick political operatives, and promoted by fake "news" agencies like Faux "news."

Even their key statements, ("We're taxed enough already!&quot is false, taxes are lower than they were before the 1920's.

The baggers I know seem to be virtually incapable of independent or critical thought. Once another bagger tells them something crazy- anything, they believe it.

..a few business related contacts, who, if they gave their $$$ to a "legitimate" Bagger group, I would be unhappy.

If, on the other hand, their Bagger tithes went to scammers, I would be happy that the $$$ they spent for "legit" Bagger causes went into the pockets of greedy con men, other than the "official" Baggers' con-men pockets.

So, in other words, I wouldn't worry about it...your Bagger friends/relatives were gonna blow their $$$ anyway.

Their scammers are just savvy businessmen who found a way to make money, right? Nothing wrong with that. They might even be job creators!

I'm sick of not working. Might as well take advantage of these idiots. I won't even feel bad.

12. Heck, why don't WE get donations from the Tea People? Just call and say we're the Tea Party.

Then take the money, buy some (medicinal) - ahem - tea and have a party!

If there's money left over we can donate it to a Democratic organization.

I am against anyone preying on others like this
but it couldn't happen to a more deserving group of people.
