"With child gun deaths on the rise in Arizona, one state lawmaker says foster parents should no longer be forced to lock up their guns for safety reasons.
The Arizona Department of Child Safety requires foster parents to store their firearms in a safety locker so children can't get access.
HB 2535 kills that requirement with the bills sponsor saying it's unfair to impose stricter gun regulation on these parents."

Arizona: Pro-Gun Legislation Introduced in the House
"Current regulations under the Arizona Department of Child Safety have been forcing foster parents to choose between their Second Amendment rights or their children. House Bill 2535 would protect the right to self-defense while in the presence of a foster child or on the premises of a foster home. Foster parents are like any other parents who simply want to care for their children, including exercising their Second Amendment rights in order to protect their families."

They remove a kid from an unsafe environment and place him/her in a foster home where some gun humper leaves his gun on the coffee table! WTF?!
