RT does report on:
- school-shootings and poverty and police-brutality and how the US is a shithole-country
RT does not report on:
- leaked chat-messages where Assange says that he wants the GOP to win in 2016
- Rob Porter: one story on the whole Rob Porter-scandal. It does not mention Kelly's role, or Huckabee-Sanders' shifting explanations, or Trump speaking out in favor of Porter, or how Porter was slated to be promoted despite not having clearance.
- Stormy Daniels: RT dedicated one paragraph out of a larger article to the controversy... because she said Trump is bad in bed. The affair and the hush-money get A WHOLE SENTENCE of reporting out of the entire reporting of all of RT. And of course nothing about Cohen claiming that he paid the hush-money and not Trump.
- No mention whatsoever that the Democrats are trying to release their own memo to counter the misleading one by Nunes.
- Steve Wynn gets one article, which he has to share with a story about one of Hillary Clinton's staffers. Because "both sides do it".

(11,175 posts)I wouldn't want to rely on RT as my sole news source but I'm glad it's there.

(11,175 posts)From your OP: "school-shootings and poverty and police-brutality and how the US is a shithole-country". I'd say that the MSM do cover school shootings (if it bleeds, it leads); give some reporting to the most notable cases of police brutality, but underreport the day-to-day brutality that doesn't involve dramatic murders of unarmed people; grossly underreport poverty, including its causes and effects; and are quite uneven in reporting "how the US is a shithole-country" if by that you mean, in general, problems and failures of our society.
Any additional reporting on these subjects is a valuable component of the overall media mix.
I can't think of any source, be it RT or any of the MSM stalwarts or the likes of AlterNet/Common Dreams/truthout, that I would consider adequate as my sole source of information.
