Stephanie Rhule is having a tough time keeping it together this morning. I suppose that's a good thing...maybe get some real emotion for a change. Stoicism is good in a crisis when you're trying to help people stand up to an adverse situation. But maybe it's time for a little raw emotion. Except for that the likes of Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio only show raw emotion towards MONEY and campaign contributions.

(25,251 posts)then any politician I've heard talk about this shooting and what needs to happen going forward. I hope they replay that interview and I hope they will bring this young man back again to represent our kids that are faced with this danger every day they enter their schools.

(3,702 posts)To the violence, I just file it into my constant outrage bin. But listening to Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell podcasts this morning..not even watching video...just hearing the parents and students and teachers...something just broke.
For my own mental health, I try not to think too much because I am pretty good at feeling other people's pain and that will wreck me. So I can seem cold, esp when I add morbid humor but that is because if I let it slip...I will be puddle of tears and an emotional wreck for hours/days.
Fuck it, everyone on tv...hosts, guests, etc should just break down and cry. I don't care if it's for ratings or whatever...maybe if we start seeing how insanely not normal this is, maybe it will wake people up to vote the NRA backed cretins out.
