February 14, 2018 at 4:48 pm EST By Taegan Goddard
Vice President Mike Pence told Axios that U.S. intelligence has determined that Russian meddling in the 2016 election did not affect the outcome.
Said Pence: Irrespective of efforts that were made in 2016 by foreign powers, it is the universal conclusion of our intelligence communities that none of those efforts had any impact on the outcome of the 2016 election.

Jonathan Chait: This is unequivocally false If you think about this question, its completely obvious that they couldnt rule in or out the possibility that Russia changed the election outcome. Its not just impossible for an intelligence agency to determine this. Its impossible for anybody to determine it.

Newsweek: MIKE PENCE COULD BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT AND HE WAS HANDPICKED BY PAUL MANAFORT
It is wider and deeper than we really know.

Russia is way deep into the Republican party.
Before Trump formally announced Pence as his vice presidential candidate, it was Manafort who made sure it happened, The New York Times reported last year.
Trump had hesitated to settle on Pence, who was governor of Indiana. Trump was fielding last-ditch appeals from New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and publicly said he had not made a final, final decision until advisers like Manafort reminded him of the importance of uniting the GOP around conservative Christian values.
CBS News reported that Pence was Manafort's "first choice" and that Manafort even lied about mechanical problems on Trump's plane to make the soon-to-be GOP nominee stay an extra day in Indiana to get to know Pence. In a phone call, Manafort assured Trump that Pence was the right choice and made a case that won over the real estate tycoon.
Manafort would later downplay his behind-the-scenes choice, telling the Times that Trump never seriously doubted Pence.

(3,335 posts)Now Dotard II, the Sequel, wants us to believe that they interfered but they didn't change the outcome. Next it will be, they changed votes and deleted voters from the voter rolls, but not enough to change the outcome. And finally, they'll conclude that in spite of the interference and the changes, the Dotard would have won anyway because Hillary was a weak candidate. The hell with them. The truth is going to come out eventually, and the Dotard, Dotard II, Jared, Ivanka, and Don Jr are all going to jail. Preferably a Russian jail since Putin will no longer have any use for them, and the USA will not have to support these grifters any longer.
