And the repeal of the Fairness doctrine. Networks that aired news were obligated to present all sides of an issue. Shortly after came Fox network. That began the propaganda phase of our slow walking coup. Stories that were once was relegated to supermarket trash tabloids became mainstreamed into millions of households.
Most of us don't know most things unless and until we're told. The media's job used to be to tell us what we needed to know. Now it's to tell us what they need us to know.
