Let these hypocritical thoughts & prayers senders see what a single man with a single AR-15 can accomplish in several minutes.
Nothing against them spending time honoring and naming the victims, but you know how long people are going to remember those names? About as long as it takes until the NEXT mass shooting, if even that long.
They're just fucking names, just like they're fake thoughts & prayers. Put some carnage as a picture of what is left of these names. See the death this machine of war is capable of. THAT SCHOOL LOOKS LIKE A FUCKING WAR ZONE WITH BODIES STREWN ABOUT. SHOW IT!! SHOW THE VIDEOS TAKEN BY THE STUDENTS WITNESS TO IT. They have to live with it the rest of their lives, so should the gun fuckheads who have all the blood on their hands.

(14,624 posts)And I'm paraphrasing here, but it stated that if the RePutin Party wants to make women view videos of aborted fetuses before having an abortion, then law makers who take NRA cash should have to clean up the gore after a mass shooting.
I like it.

(7,429 posts)I'm devastated by it. I work for a TV station. My General Manager made a conscious decision not to air these videos. We aired 1 of them and it was horrific. It's a little too close to home for us (we are in Palm Beach County). We know people in that school.
Maybe in a day or 2 they can be shown. It's hard to watch them right now, though

(3,194 posts)You can bet that any station that had the courage to air these, would experience a backlash like they could not imagine. The full force of the NRA & ALL It's Members would be brought down upon the station.
Cries about the insensitivity. Cries about how gory and traumatic the videos are. Cries about sympathy for the victims. It would be swift and obvious.
People who care would be disgusted, but for different reasons. I myself would probably turn away, but something needs to be different.
Otherwise we might as well proceed with the same BS script, and get ready for next month's massacre.

(17,006 posts)They have been hurt beyond belief and turning their child's lifeless body into a news bite will only add to that. However, it should be mandatory for every state and federal politician to watch them.

(3,194 posts)They will just put a blanket ban on showing the video, claiming it's too hard to block out those who are unwilling to have their kids' bodies shown.
You know, when someone is on trial, all the gore comes out. People in the courtroom turn away, families of the victims cry or leave the room. Because the truth is shocking.
The effects of these weapons of war are disturbing, which is exactly why they need to be shown far and wide. Otherwise they will always just be names on paper.
