Since we are being told that mental health is the problem and not guns

I expect that since this shooter lived he will be transferred to a criminal mental health facility and not be subject to normal prison or the death penalty - because mental health is his problem right? He will be eligible for release once he is treated, do I have this right?

Oh, wait - he was charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder.
