(180 posts)A regard for reality and a good sense of humor. This makes less easy to manipulate or to anticipate. The bigotry, misogyny, homophobia, and fear of critical thinking makes the right extrodinarily predictable and easily manipulated; as Putin has so elegantly demonstrated. Such rigidly structured thought structures are inviting viral concepts holding significant potential for undermining their will. So there are advantages to being rational which money and brute force can not offset. They have assigned themselves the task of putting history back in the bottle: a much more impossible and Sisyphean task. We hold the clear clear advantage in the long run.

Two days later, Trump took to Twitter to accuse Democrats of “turning down services and security for citizens in favor of services and security for non-citizens. Not good!”
Four days after that tweet, Trump accused Democrats of not being “interested in Border Safety & Security or in the funding and rebuilding of our Military. They are only interested in Obstruction!”
Two weeks ago, Indianapolis Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson was tragically killed by a drunk driver who happened to be an illegal immigrant. Trump called it “disgraceful” and pointed to the incident as “just one of many such preventable tragedies. We must get the Dems to get tough on the Border, and with illegal immigration, FAST!”
How easy it is to forget all this garbage he spews, given the unrelenting volume of indescribable

(28,795 posts)They were discussing the indictments, and one of the guests did a perfect job explaining the importance of the language used regarding THIS indictment
A deplorable called in before me, accusing him of being wrong about that, and reaming them for watching CNN! He toed the trump line about the pre election interference taking trump off the hook, of which they all made fun. SI called in and said people like him should be locked up in mental institutions because they live in an alternate reality, or something close to that, mentioning that he clearly gets his news from fox and breitbart, and thus cannot be taken seriously.
The guests were referring to the indictees as spies, which was nice to hear
