1. A Secondary Consideration-It Raises the Stake for Republicans to Do Nothing to Protect Elections

in the future

2. It is now on the record that Russia meddled in the election

Thatís huge.k

Among other things, Trump can no longer claim that none of the indictments had anything to do with Russian interference.

5. This seems to be

Mr. Mueller just fired the first volley across the GOP's bow. Now you see why Trump is not staffing State or Justice.

Thank you Robert Mueller for trying to save our Nation.

7. The indictment shows both Rubio and Cruz were targets of Russia

That should help motivate some Republicans to keep Russia out of our elections. Any one of them hoping to challenge Trump in 2020, or whichever candidate the Russians pick next, could also fall victim to Russian influence.

3. The indictments build Mueller's case for conspiracy/ collusion in accepting foreign

assistance in the 2016 election.

This is necessary to build his next case

8. Did not allege

I liked the precise language that was used. I do not have the actual quote but Rosenstein was very careful with his words, saying things like the indictments do not allege that Americans were knowingly involved. But he did not say Americans definitely were NOT involved.

Americans could have been colluding with the Russians but, at this time, he is not saying that was the case.

Did I get that right?

9. you got it right

Rosenstein was very careful to a) not over-reach, and b) not give away the cards that he's holding. Trump was an idiot to have maligned the justice dept, and especially Rosenstein and the FBI.
