Why is the stock market up over 200 points today?

Does it have anything to do with the Democratic tax cut plan approved yesterday by the Senate? Or is there something else going on that we could credit it with? Such as Romney's trip to London?

Durable goods orders up. Several instances of good corporate profit reports. Word that all possible things will be done to keep the Euro intact. A lot of it is due to the latter.

on comments from Draghi made recently indicating a willingness to do whatever is necessary to keep Euro together. Suggests there may be stimulus. That's why the dollar is down, gold, oil and stock markets up.
