Say I'm just out of college or grad school and I apply for a teaching position at a public school. One of the interview questions is whether I am proficient with guns and, if not, would I be willing to be trained and carry one at school. I answer "no" and, despite my teaching qualifications, don't get the job. OR...
I am a seasoned teacher with 20 years of classroom experience. My contract is up and it is not renewed because I am unwilling to carry a gun and my school must "fill a quota."
This is what could happen if schools must fill a certain number of positions with people willing to carry, and use guns. A worse outcome would be if schools are forced to hire less than qualified people solely because they are willing to do this.
Maybe the brain in the WH has an answer.

(22,756 posts)absolutely NO teachers should be required (or be allowed) to carry guns in school... that's all

As for the "stable genius" in the WH .... I wouldn't hold my breath. He can't even spell his AG's name right.
