And the ridiculous ideas coming out of this ridiculous administration are absolutely insane! Giving guns to teachers??! Talk about a recipe for disaster! We need fewer guns, not more that will just add to the problem - and schools are a hotbed of emotions and issues, anyway - the teenage years are tough ones. Teachers already have a difficult enough time. 
And of course I'm thinking of my teachers, though I'm sure things have changed since I was in school. I finished up my high school years at boarding school and most of the teachers were older women. The one I keep thinking of that makes me laugh was quite elderly, an AP English teacher who was British - old enough that she was on the British Olympic fencing team with Sir Lawrence Olivier - or so she said. She could just bring her weapon to class! 
I still have a hard time to believe this !
My neighbors are teachers, wife in elementary school and husband in college. First thing they said :they should tie him in a straight jacket, send him to the asylum, put as much as possible security locks and throw ALL the keys in Pacific....
I think that speaks on itself...
The only excuse would be those who just awoke from long comas or are space aliens who just landed on this planet!
