Bobby Jindal to Iowans: Obama will try to ‘distract you’ with distortions about Romney

Bobby Jindal to Iowans: Obama will try to ‘distract you’ with distortions about Romney
2:31 PM, Jul 26, 2012 | by Jennifer Jacobs

Coralville, Ia. – Don’t succomb to the distractions the Obama campaign throws at you, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal told Iowans at a campaign event for Mitt Romney today.

“They’re going to try to do everything they can to distract us between now and election day,” Jindal told a crowd of about 90 Republicans at a Romney event in Coralville.

“It’s not about high school,” Jindal said, referring to campaign chatter about a news account of Romney bullying a fellow student, “or distortions and outright lies about previous records. It’s not about speaking styles. It’s not about any of that. It really is about what kind of America do we want to leave to our children and grandchildren.”

Yo, Mr. Louisiana, how's your BP supportin' Gulf doing these days with its eyeless shrimp? what was the name and location of the volcano that erupted a couple of days after your smug-snide derisive reply to Obama's first SOTU? the eruption rerouted air traffic world-wide.

People's lives were saved because of.....?

Yes, you make good-sound decisions before you open your yap.

Why distort?

I think the best move at this time is just to point and giggle.

----

and as to How?

I don't know, as it is really hard to distract people when they are watching a train wreck.

90? 90? OMG! I could get 90 people to show up at my next teeth cleaning if I advertised in advance.

If I were a republican (god forbid!) I would be embarrassed as hell to admit that only 90 people showed up at a campaign appearance during a presidential election year!

In response, Obama’s Iowa campaign spokeswoman Erin Seidler said: “Governor Jindal and Governor McDonnell announced that they were coming to Iowa today to hold events attacking President Obama for his plans and vision to create an economic environment that is beneficial to small businesses. The president’s visions is to invest in education so we have the smartest workforce and infrastructure that supports entrepreneurs and small businesses to make sure we are able to move goods and information to compete with the rest of the world. Mitt Romney and his campaign are trying to tear down the president without detailing any plan to help small businesses. Telling our small businesses they are own their own is not a plan to grow this economy. Under President Obama’s leadership we have already cut taxes 18 times for small business and have seen 28 straight months of private sector job growth.”
