(3,268 posts)I got a little whitebread granddaughter down in the Virgin Islands working toward a degree in marine biology at a traditionally black university. You are my news source and danger trip wire. And I thank you for the help you give that you don't even know.

(11,457 posts)Is going to hurt bad. My daughter with school age kids who is married to military and more conservative completely went off about teachers having guns. She hates politics and if i bring it up will change conversation or leave call.
But this has her juice going. She is in a more affluent neighborhood her husband a lt colonel and they live off base. In San Antonio area. Her school just hired a guard who is trained with guns but she doesnt want teachers to have them.
Thinks kids would find a way to get them from teachers or a pissed off teacher might hurt kids or another teacher.
