Now playing on Twitter and here.
With no pretense of adding content, I hereby quote some of my favorites.
<...>
The Mitt Cycle: 1. Condescend; 2. Flounder; 3. Pander; 4. Repeat.
MI6 refuses to confirm #Romney meeting, fueling speculation he may have been fooled by an Austin Powers impersonator
The most amazing thing today wasn't #RomneyShambles but how the British media schooled America's "journalists" regarding Romney's true face.
Ahead of Romney's Israel trip, advisory team reminds him that "Hi, I baptized your dead grandma" is not acceptable greeting.
The Brits are saying that Romney is worse than Palin. Funny, John McCain thought so, too.
Mitt Romney isn't even qualified to represent the U.S. as a tourist.
You can tell @MittRomney's doing badly when he starts getting booed by rich white people
Mitt Romney is now, officially, an international embarrassment. Our policy of containment has failed.

(5,624 posts)criticize him it'll improve his favor with the GOP base who think Europeans are snobby and elitist. His plan is to piss off everyone but the American Rightwingers, to show them that he is "one of them".

(50,327 posts)so I doubt that he is playing the heel on purpose. The fact is he really is an out-of-touch heel who obviously likes the taste of shoe leather seeing as he keeps putting his foot in his mouth.

(16,186 posts)He doesn't have to campaign. He doesn't have to be nice. He doesn't have to be human. It's all in the back for this $hitheel of a man.

(18,964 posts)If Rmoney was to be elected he would have to deal with the Brits and all of Europe and this certainly wasn't a way to endear yourself to them...no idea of the need to be on good relations with them in the future
but then again....
Rmoney is only concerned with the task at hand...which is Do whatever it takes to get elected!
I just don't know how he thinks he can get elected by alienating the moderate repubs and independents by selling out to the 25-30% that make up the radical Repub base.
"I think he's playing the heel on purpose. Same as his NAACP speech."
...he's doing a lousy job at even that. Backtracking: http://www.democraticunderground.com/10021030419
Aside from that, this is the real Romney.
Romney on England: "It is a small island . . doesn't make things. . the world wants to buy".

Romney: Don't let US become a second-tier nation. Like Britain

Oops! Mitt Calls Country He's Visiting by the Wrong Name

He's a guy who goes through life getting what he wants because he has money. He's knows how to get money, even if it means crushing people by cheating and lying.
Like Sarah Palin, he knows what he knows. His gaffes are his limited knowledge of things, a functional idiot in terms of a politician.
Mitt doesn't care where China or Iran is on the map. He just knows the monetary benefits of holding the positions he does.
It's all about money, nothing else.

(8,945 posts)Not sure about the NAACP speech, I doubt that was on purpose either. But to purposefully act to become the laughing stock of our "special relationship" ally, NO WAY.

(2,322 posts)They put up with George W. I mean, do you really think Britain is going to say "Hate your president, we're putting an end to this relationship. China is our new BFF"? Not likely.
