BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Europe has drawn up a list of U.S. products from bourbon to Harley Davidson motorbikes on which to apply tariffs if U.S. President Donald Trump follows through on a plan to impose global duties on aluminum and steel.
The European Union is considering applying 25 percent tariffs on $3.5 billion of goods - a third steel, a third industrial goods and a third agricultural - torebalance bilateral trade, EU sources said.
We will put tariffs on Harley-Davidson, on bourbon and on blue jeans - Levis, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker told German television.
We are here and they will get to know us. We would like a reasonable relationship to the United States, but we cannot simply put our head in the sand.
