My father did his post-graduate studies in The Netherlands in the mid-1950s in the city of Delft. The little house my parents rented was across a pond from the university. During the winter, my dad would ice-skate across the pond to go to classes. He had these old ice skates that were kind of like the old metal roller skates (the ones with a key) that he could clamp onto his shoes. Years later, when he and I went there on a vacation trip, he showed me the pond and I was quite surprised to see that the pond was nearly a mile across.

It's lovely, the people are wonderful, the food is delicious and it's a great country.

Windmills, tulips, great healthcare and education... what more could one want?!

Enjoy your weekend, malaise!

And my wife and I would like to live there (again) when we retire.

Holland is an extraordinary country, filled with progressive and charming people.

here to Southeast Az to be a cowboy. He told me that when the waters froze
people would do the equivalent of a pub crawl on ice skates.
