Huffington PostRep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) is defending her stance on gun violence after actress Amber Tamblyn called her out for not co-sponsoring a bill on assault weapons.
In a tweet Wednesday, the 34-year-old actress pointed out that Gabbards name did not appear on the list of co-sponsors on the newly introduced Assault Weapons Ban of 2018, also known as H.R. 5087.
Tamblyn also noted that the Democrat had previously received money from a gun lobby group. Hawaii Citizens Rights, a political action group linked to the National Rifle Associations Hawaii affiliate, once donated $400 to Gabbards campaign.

she will not change. He made her switch parties, and the cult directs her voting.

a rising star in Democratic politics. When she first won, I remember Rachel Maddow riding her like a rodeo clown.

She is someone who would divide our party before the midterms, right when we need to be unified. Her closeness to Sanders, who continues to criticize Democrats while ignoring the many crimes of the GOP, makes her questionable, IMO.

Echoing Russian propaganda points: whataboutism.

If Gabbard had indeed long called for a special prosecutor to oversee the Trump-Russia investigation, surely there would be a statement about it on her website? The only statements on her website with the words Trump and Russia are about the meeting she had at Trump Tower with the president-elect arranged by Alt-Right Breitbart boss Steve Bannon who wanted her to be Secretary of State and her warning [try not to laugh] about nuclear war with Russia in response to Trumps airstrike on her favorite war criminal Bashar al-Assad.

But Gabbard has dug herself into a hole in recent weeks with her bizarre but insistent views about Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his countrys bloody six years of civil war. And her tendency to attract media attention, once an asset, seems only to be making things worse.

knows. Am I a fan? No, I've barely looked into her and I have seen a couple troubling htings she's said in the past. Is this late co-sponsoring a troubling thing? Uh, no. She's on the right page here yes? Is she standing in the way of this legislation somehow? Is she trying to water it down?
wow 400 dollars? 400 smackers? Almost certainly bought for by the gun lobby because there are no higher bidders than that in politics...
I find it ironic that there are plenty of people who rail against the idea of incumbants being challenged, but that that is not extended to Gabbard here. Maybe its an entirely different chorus of voices, and one would hope.
