Remember when he offered a $10 million reward for information leading to the impeachment of trump? Once she tells all, including publishing pictures, we know she's half way there.
Next, she can start buying congress. We know republicans can be bought, so 10million is plenty of money to buy enough impeachment votes to put this over the top.

McConnell and Ryan are pretty pissed about this tariff debacle, so they might love an excuse. We know they'll love the money.

(28,549 posts)she has to pay Trump $1M for each separate disclosure.
Not sure what that means... but it could get to be expensive for her.

(3,005 posts)if she releases information? His name isn't on the agreement and he didn't sign it. How can he claim after the fact that he is a party to the agreement? Can't she just say she didn't release any information about her sex partner named David Denison who IS named in the agreement?

(28,549 posts)she accepted the $130K and signed the NDA.
That is a contract (from my one college contracts law course).

(31,441 posts)I believe I read that Michael Cohen the attorney put the money in an escrow account.
So she doesn't have it, and meanwhile her lawyers figured out that Trump never signed the agreement. So why does she have to live by an agreement when apparently none exists?
Michael Cohen is also out the $130,0000 because he was planning to get reimbursed by his client, and now Cheeto won't admit being a party to it.

(28,549 posts)the transaction was flagged by both the sending bank and receiving bank (account in the name of her lawyer) but after communication by both lawyers, I'm sure the transaction completed.
It would have been flagged because of the length of time the LLC formed by Cohn existed at the time of the transaction (a few days at most) and the size of the transfer.

(14,249 posts)Depending on what Trump ends up doing.
A contract can be perfectly legal and enforceable, but if one party breaches and the other doesn't enforce it, it may as well not have existed.
Stormy was smart and got herself a very good lawyer and they've put Trump in a difficult box. If he either says that he signed another copy of the contract or claims it doesn't matter that he didn't sign it for the reasons you noted, and then tries to enforce it against her, he's publicly admitting that he entered into a non-disclosure agreement with a porn star in which she promised not to talk about all manner of sexual encounters and other issues she is aware of. Therefore, he would be admitting that he did have sex with her, which will result in all kinds of butthurt for him - even discounting the idiots who give him a pass on everything, he'll endure some real political damage.
If, on the other hand, he doesn't want to do that, and claims he had nothing to do with the contract, he'll just have to keep his mouth shut and not sue her if she talks. It will be as if the contract never existed and she'll be able to keep the money AND sing like a bird.
Either way, Stormy and her lawyer have him in a tough spot.

(28,549 posts)But if it was, say, one long interview or one book... I'm sure someone would be willing to cough up the $1M.
