...including the United States?
That they have power and wealth that no government can compete with?
That they have the power to create their own foreign policy?
That the FBI and the US Congress do not have the power or authority to make them adhere to the general rules and laws of society?
That the only way to defeat them is for all the nations to work together?

It's been the trend since the 70s, when corporate power starting prying money=speech and all the other nonsense out of our system.

(46,703 posts)We need to wake everybody up. Not because we need to make them aware that this is happening, because they already know. Just that we aren't playing their game anymore. Those in leadership need to stop sitting on their laurels and be prepared to be called on their duplicity. Integrity, character and honesty are qualities that you need to earn every day.

Beyond borders and treaties.
There are no rules. They do whatever they can get away with. They constantly push the envelope.
It is about who has the most money and the most toys.
Governments are created to assist them in their endeavors, nothing more.

(46,703 posts)Question everything. Question the indoctrination that leads to a patriarchal society. Question the military discipline that teaches men and women that duty requires them to follow blindly. Or religious teachings where people are coaxed to use their church leaders as surrogate fathers.
It is disgusting when you see how much of what went off the rails is due to our own societal organizations.

Now which government can monitor that fully?

(6,709 posts)Corporations and wealthy individuals can cross borders to hide their money, evade taxes and duck all consequences of their actions, and governments which try to rein them in are powerless--if they are interested at all.
tRump is a perfect example--he's been pulling this crap his whole life, working with the mob here and abroad, laundering money, etc. For him it is standard operating procedure, which is at least partly why he sees the investigation as a witch hunt -"what's the big deal?"
It is going to be very interesting to see just what kind of malfeasance is laid bare, and what if anything is done about it.

They were not happy with just their own world of crime and deceit, now they want to control whatever is left over.
Which is also, why it is such a gargantuan task for Robert Mueller to tackle. We would need a thousand Robert Muellers to get to the bottom of these criminal enterprises.
except I think they have always been here, under the radar, and have been left to flourish.

I wonder how decent people are ever going to survive this onslaught of complete moral emptiness.
I have voiced this thought myself. I seriously wonder if our "justice" system is capable of handling the increasing assaults on our Republic.
