Since a recount is not mandated, it would seem odd that the state should have to pay.
Of course, if he does, he can probably find a few spare GOP $$ to fund that recount. If they want to throw more good money after bad, that is.

(54,372 posts)I wonder what Saccone thinks will change, unless someone does some illegal tampering with the voting machines to back up Saccone's claims. Lamb can then get a forensic test done to confirm or deny a charge of manipulation, which, if shown to have taken place in Saccone's favor, will land a few people in jail, and the number of people with access and tech know-how will be very small, so the perps will be easily identified. I don't think anyone is willing to do 3 to 5 on Saccone's account, so a recount will probably just be harassment to try to delay Lamb's being seated in DC.

(54,372 posts)Walker's stooge was one Kathy Niklaus of Waukesha County, who found a slew of Republican ballots she "forgot" to input on her computer when reporting results for an important judgeship. Completely off the wall story, but since Walker controls the state government, her claim went uncontested (except by logic and common sense). Not the only time this happened, either.
