I am listening to him right now on the Political Wire Podcast. No wonder Trump loves that monster.

QUESTION: (inaudible) do you believe that Vladimir Putin would rather deal with President Trump or President Clinton?
TRUMP: I don't think he respects Clinton. I don't think Putin has any respect whatsoever for Clinton. I think he does respect me. And I hope I get along great with him. It's possible that we won't, Jeremy. I hope that we get along great with Putin because it would be great to have Russia with a good relationship.
Right now, we don't have a good relationship. Putin has said things over the last year that are really bad things. OK? He mentioned the "N" word one time. I was shocked to hear him mention the "N" word. You know what the "N" word is, right? He mentioned it. I was shocked.
He has a total lack of respect for President Obama. Number one, he doesn't like him. And number two, he doesn't respect him. I think he's going to respect your president if I'm elected. And I hope he likes me.
Gee, I wonder how he knew.....
BTW, I commented about this a year ago:

(2,078 posts)It was the tone moreso that left an impression. When he recounted the Putin 'N' word story, his tone was not that of shock at Putin's usage in a disrespectful way. It was more that he was 'shocked' that Putin was so bold. He envied Putin that he was able to say it. He intoned that he was 'shocked' at Putin's manly boldness. So the purpose of recounting that story is NOT to reveal the Putin is out of line, but that if you elect him, Putin won't be able to call him a dumb 'n' word. It was also a way of calling Obama that by getting the name-call out there, but escaping any backlash.

(12,618 posts)Seriously, you hope he likes you? You sound like a loser hoping that the cool kid in school likes him. Donny, you don't hope a man like Putin likes you if you are President of the United States. You hope they fear you or respect you, preferably both, but not like. If a tyrant like that likes you, you are doing something wrong.

(8,042 posts)been in a bubble (and I know that word is overused) out here in California. I've lived in L.A. most of my adult life (and absolutely LOVE it ). ALL of my friends here are socially conscious, petition signing, protest marching, progressives. And a good number of 'em really ARE Vegetarians! LOL!
However, I was born and raised in Texas. I've kept up with childhood friends throughout the years, mainly by long distance. Over the past couple of years, I've actually spent a little time with them because of various reunions. Two of my very best childhood friends are out and out racists. They HAVE felt emboldened, because of dt, to not hide it. And it really woke me up (as the election woke many of us up). I still believe there are many more of us than there are of them, and I believe the light overcomes the dark...The old worn out saying is the only one I can think of that fits: We take three steps forward and two steps back. Four steps forward and three steps back...and so it goes...

(31,997 posts)Putin speaks Russian. So what Russian word was used? I have no doubt Putin is a racist because all Russians I have ever ran across are racists. Usually Russians will call someone a "Chechyn" to make a racist reference. They don't use the English n-word.
Now if you believe the author knows conversations going on inside the Kremlin so be it. Me, I don't like fake news.

(58,797 posts)It was stated as fact by Michael Isikoff who has been a national reporter for decades. It looks like you have the internet so I inagine you can find a podcast. Do you believe for a minute that a world leader who like Putin never heard American slang?
former9thward
(31,997 posts)I don't believe that. And I don't believe Putin would use English words with his Russian staff. Fake news and there is no proof offered. But people will believe anything. A lot of people voted for Trump.

He no doubt threw the N word around. Hell, he and trump have probably used it in conversation.

(43,181 posts)You've sure got some cojones to claim that's the case.
Also, unless you're talking about some weird article from the "Conservative Eagle Free Times Press" about Pizzagate that your fourth grade classmate posted on his Facebook page, I would suggest not using the term "fake news" here. It's so....Trumpian.

(61,599 posts)It sounds a little English-centric to assume that the word is "English" at all.
Is the global use of the word "ok" also English-centric in your view? Look it up.
