Ex-Hillary Adviser Philippe Reines Urges Dems to Appear on Fox News: Go to the Battlefield

Source: Mediaite

Former Hillary Clinton adviser Philippe Reines urged fellow Democrats to appear on Fox News more often, as he argued the “highest rated” network is a battlefield that the left should not leave “uncontested.”

Reines, who made the comments on Fox News’ Media Buzz today, defended his old boss Clinton, but suggested Democrats try something new in 2020 — even if it means going out of their comfort zone.

“I mean, Fox is the highest rated, most profitable network,” argued Reines. “I don’t see the point in just letting this battlefield go uncontested… I’m not criticizing [Clinton’s] campaign. I have been with her and been in politics for long enough to know this is a Democratic-wide problem.”

He continued, “It’s difficult coming on Fox, but it’s important. If I’m not sitting here, I don’t know who would be. And they would not be giving as strong a defense of a different point of view as I’m trying to give, and I don’t see how that helps anyone.”

put up a quote that sounds very right wing, but find out it's really from Clinton, Sanders, Obama or somebody else. Of course, the quote is taken way out of context, but it makes the person look out of step with his or her party and in agreement with Republicans. Sure, you can and explain rebut them, but if you're explaining, you're losing.

He did a great job of presenting our views to their audience. It doesn't hurt.

done by their hosts. This was O’Reilly’s style, making watching his show torturous.

No one should appear on a show that asks, “when will you stop hating America and wanting the terrorists to win!?” or a show that blanket assigns traits to “The Liberals.” The same standard should exist for any news program host.

If you listen to Fox News you get the impression that there's no other story. We need to have a presence there as well as on the left-er leaning outlets.
