A Needed Paradigm Shift

I would like to understand why the media gives so much importance to the 30-35 % of Trump supporters. They are a clear minority, yet get treated like It's a 50-50 split.

They will riot if Trump is impeached! Good! Then lockup their treasonous asses!

Republicans can't upset Trump's base. If he sold out his country for personal profit, do you have to be careful not to upset the lunatics?

Democrats have to be careful in the culture wars! Why, when most Americans agree on issues like Abortion, Same Sex marriage, and the rich paying their fair share!

There needs to be more emphasis on this!

1. Threats implied and overt-of violence. Bullies trying to get their way.

If they are not fought, they will get it all. This country will be destroyed.

3. it's been like that as long as I can remember. conservatives always have more presence - whether

on supposed fair radio like NPR, or the major news media - it's always a preponderance of right wing, and the message is always false equivalence.

Root cause? Follow the money. Media ownership overwhelmingly right wing.

4. They control Congress and the Presidency

As long as they are in charge, they are a force to be reckoned with. Even if we win in November, they won't disappear, they will try to come back in 2020, 2022, 2024... Demographics won't save us. Only a revitalization and extension of democratic norms will do it, and that will take years.

bought out the radio stations to broadcast it. A bumper sticker I saw once:

The media is only as liberal as the conservative corporations that own it.

The only reason MSNBC has more liberal show hosts is that they are making money on it. Below are stations that play the Rush Limbaugh show, which is 3 hours a day. He's not the only rw show on, either. These same listeners probably tune into Fox when the TV is on. Limbaugh & his like spew their hate & lies for hours & hours a day over much of America & the left/dems continue to ignore it.
