Kind of crazy that an ISIS attack in France is getting basically zero coverage

Several innocent people killed and injured in a supermarket attack in France by a terrorist pledging allegiance to ISIS and it has barely cracked the news on CNN or MSNBC.

Excerpt:

The man entered the supermarket just after 11 a.m., according to local media reports. Holding grenades, knives, and a gun, he shouted his allegiance to the Islamic State, and yelled “Vengeance for Syria!” before he began shooting. The store’s butcher and a customer were reportedly killed, but a local police chief said the death toll is expected to rise.

After the killings, the gunman took several customers hostage. Others escaped or hid from him.

“I saw a door into a freezer room and I told other people around me to come and take refuge there. There were ten of us and we stayed there for an hour,” one hostage told France Info radio. “There were more shots and we eventually got out through an emergency exit at the back.”

and terrorism by 300 million guns. As we see nearly daily...domestic media is now finally covering all acts of domestic terrorism like never before, as they should.

France can handle it...they will never be terrorized by lone wolves with mental disorders yelling "ISIS" as of that makes any real difference to much.

Welcome to days of absurdity; where people vote for Nazis and sex offenders with visions of a fascist theocracy in order to "own the libs" and a deadly attack by ISIS is page 3 news.

What do you want? The media to grab those who aren't interested enough to bother, hold them down, and force it on them?

The issue isn't that it isn't covered, it's that many people simply aren't wired to care particularly about what's happening outside their personal worlds. There are those who are, and those who are not. And it's very real.

Our neighbors' 17-year-old son shocked me long ago when he asked me very seriously WHY on earth would he want to go on the student exchange to Greece that he'd been offered. He really meant it, zero interest. It was an epiphany for me because I hadn't learned about this yet. Btw, orientation to small personal, often rich and happy, worlds versus big, varied worlds is especially common in conservatives, although not all conservatives are that way by any means.

I was surprised since the victims were from a Veteran's home. Here was a guy with a gun who had been getting mental health care and for some reason was kicked out. And he murdered 3 health care workers.

I really thought this would have been a bigger story.

They act more like an organized crime family. Would not surprise me if they are being paid to stir up anti-Muslim sentiment in Europe. I.e. they are working for the right wing. In which case why should DU take notice of them? Except, maybe, as a branch of the KGB. The way Syria is a satellite of Russia.

Any place with a vast majority of military-aged men out of work is going to be hell. They invariably get together and start destroying whatever they see.

That’s exactly what idiotic policies and religion caused portions of the Middle East to become.
