Romney camp trying to walk back national security adviser Dan Senor's comment on Iran strike

Romney Would ‘Respect’ An Israeli Decision To Strike Against Iran, Aide Says

If Israel struck Iran in order to prevent them from developing nuclear capability, Mitt Romney would “respect” that decision, Romney national security adviser Dan Senor said to the traveling press core in Israel Sunday, reports the AP.

“If Israel has to take action on its own, in order to stop Iran from developing that capability, the governor would respect that decision,” Senor said.

After several ours of confusion as to what this means, the Romney campaign slightly walked back Senor’s original comment with this statement, clarifying that it did not necessarily mean using military force to aid Israel in this case:

“Gov. Romney believes we should employ any and all measures to dissuade the Iranian regime from its nuclear course, and it is his fervent hope that diplomatic and economic measures will do so. In the final analysis, of course, no option should be excluded.”

1. Previous RETHUG Presidents should speak out against Romney's interference with ME policy...

At least George H.W. Bush and maybe Bob Dole or some other more "statesman" RETHUGS. this is totally unacceptable.

I detest Dan Senor. I used to think a lot of Campbell Brown, but after marrying this war-mongering lying NeoCon? No accounting for taste, I guess.

He is the quintessence of a ReTHUG war profiteer.
I'm betting he'll show up on Morning Joe Scum and continue to spew his lies.

The very concept of needing a wrench or a screwdriver is beyond the ability of a hammer.

The Republican Party has become a bag of hammers, only dumber. They may have tack hammers and claw hammers and sledge hammers, but all they have are hammers.

They will never conceive of any way to handle Iran other than brute force.

times have changed and not as many Jewish Americans are as Zionistic at any cost as we used to be.

I'm also not sure how many Americans in general are up for a new war.
