(5,065 posts)I never could figure out how to cope with my gimpiness, so I didn't go. But I've written my reps (all red) and will call them.

(2,396 posts)As a severe chronic pain person (in Portland), I'm really proud of you. I wouldn't make it half a block, so I know the sacrifice you made to get out there in the cold and damp ocean air.
Thank you for doing that. I hope your knee doesn't act up too much later.
PS: I hope it wasn't windy too.

(6,390 posts)Question...I still got at least 10 years, but, retire in Florence or Coos Bay? Love Depoe Bay, but don't think I'll find affordable land I can drop a two bedroom mobile home on.

(14,101 posts)in my opinion. Coos is more of a red-neck lumber town, but things can change over 10 years. I think both are equally affordable, although the rental market in Florence is currently very tight.

(5,294 posts)where it was also raining (with wintry mix). It was just standing on the corner where the main street breaks into two one-way streets (so to stay on the highway, drivers make a sharp right followed by a sharp left one block later). If it had been walking, I would have pulled the mobility scooter out of the car instead of using a cane.
