Should be aloud to own any firearm in today's age.

Buy meat at the store or hunt with a bow and arrow.

Most rifle's hunters use can hit people 2 miles away!

To unsafe for people to own.

I can see being proud that your daughter is a great student, but proud you own a gun?

I am not a hunter and have never owned a firearm - but I guess i can see if you enjoyed time on the rifle range or were a hunter, you might take pride in being able to use a firearm effectively.

Some hunters have learned that the hard way. It tears up the insides in a way that ruins it.

And responsible gun owners would pass stronger background checks and are never in a hurry to bypass wait lists. These checks need to include domestic violence and substance abuse.

A lot of law enforcement and military also support sensible reforms to make it harder for dangerous people to get these weapons. Sure determined criminals/terrorists will find a way. Let's make it harder not easier.
