note on your medical report? After a few people post we will go to part two. What do you do to take care of yourself?
I will start. I will be 71 in August. I have BPH and a tendency to develop kidney stones. I take three medications daily for that. I have a healed broken kneecap that prevents me from running. I am developing a cataract in my left eye, have varicose veins in my legs and have been told I have venous insufficiency in my feet and legs. I'm missing some teeth and have two bridges because of that. I wear glasses, my vision without them is borderline for driving and hopeless for reading.
I wonder what Doctor Ronnie quid pro quo would say about my health?

(43,049 posts)I'm diabetic, but that is more or less under control, And overweight and not at all physically fit, blind in one eye and have balance problems that aren't helped at all by monocular vision. And severe sleep apnea.
I don't consider any of this to be disabling, just very annoying, and quite common for my age. Meds, except for insulin would be cheap enough, but the VA picks up the tab for most of it. I can't get around like I used to, but I do get around with little trouble.
Anyone asks me, I tell them I really should be 50 pounds lighter and 30 years younger.

(29,557 posts)I am five feet ten and half inches tall and weigh about 175 pounds on average. Living in Florida I have the good fortune to be able to swim most of the year. In June of 2015 I started swimming laps for the first time since Kennedy was President. Monday I swam a 2,000 yard coached workout, today it was only 1,600 yards. I am no great shakes as a swimmer but I keep at it. That said, I don't think I am healthy enough to hold an important government office. Maybe if I golfed....

(19,477 posts)No chronic conditions or prescriptions. I eat very well and exercise regularly -- unlike Trump, in both respects. My doctor expresses satisfaction with my numbers every year at my physical, and he's an honest man, unlike Trump's doctor.
