Radio revenues have been crashing for the past decade...a lot due to the excesses of the corporates who destroyed local radio and drove even more away with the bile emoted by hate talk. They lost most of their audience under 40 and the advertisers have long turned to teevee and the innernets as a more reliable way to reach younger demographics.

There's also been a big change with the introduction of the People Meter that is showing far less people listen to hate radio than Arbitron had long extrapolated. In a tight economy advertisers always spend less and are more discriminating where their ad dollars go...and it's not going toward Rushbo any longer. Radio is in real sad economic shape with the asshats who created the problem supposedly "fixing" them...
