47 years ago today LBJ signed Medicare into law...

and I think we need to make protecting Medicare a major campaign issue this fall--given the Ryan Budget.

of my parents benefitted from this law (my dad was retired military and had that insurance when he got sick and died age 47).

Buncha lazy slackers and freeloaders: 4 housewives (you know - that RW idealized woman), 1 lifelong housepainter with 8th grade education, and 1 rancher/retired LEO.

Now the RW wants to nuke private pensions for the 99%, nuke SS and Medicare, and abandon the old and retired to die in the streets of starvation.
