I remember picking up a "puppy" BMD who was about 7 months old and 80lbs. She LOVED being picked up and held. Thought it was the best thing ever.

They are adorable! My sister has a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Puppy which is a slightly larger, short-coated version of the Berner. They are excellent dogs, great temperament, smart, affectionate.

She was ADORABLE and about the sweetest thing I've ever come across. She loved to run. I can't remember what I named her. Darn. But she sure was sweet.

Berners are one of the goofiest breeds around. Beautiful animals and sweet tempered. But goofy as hell. I've owned 2 of them over the years. And as puppies? You'll be ready to tear your hair out--nonstop energy. They're also grow . . . big. My last one was well over 100 pounds. And this pup is no exception. Look at those paws! Fun-loving and affectionate though. A good companion for adult or child.
