Our family lawyer is also a long time family friend, the son of a good friend of my father, who we have known since childhood. Sometimes that's not a good idea because you don't know when to ask for documents and when to accept his Derby invitations.

if the relationship was informal, why was Hannity so opposed to his name being revealed? Hannity has a forum he could have used to get ahead of this. He has other lawyers who could have appealed to the judge that he only used Cohen for advice on a real estate deal and was not tied up in anything else. So his name should be kept under seal.

When did this "real estate advice" take place. Before of after he became best buds with Cohen/trump? These NDA's seem like a shakedown. Cohen finds out about the affairs through trump's loose lips. Cohen finds a way to contact her or Davidson, then he tells the target he can make it all go away for X amount of cash. An NDA is born.

why would you need a real estate conversation confidential?

there might be a wee bit of a difference between what these people say on foxnews and what these people say in a courtroom under oath.

of everything that went on in that courtroom and in the media since. First they appear to have been fighting to keep the mysterious client's identity a secret. Then when they had a chance to hand the identity to the judge written on a paper on the chance she might not reveal it publicly, they announce it in open court to the gasps of all present. It was a little more dramatic than necessary. Avanatti says he thinks a document with Hannity's name on it will be in the mix and that's what they were trying to protect. I have my doubts. I think this is all part of the smoke and mirrors game, a great build up and then POOF! The surprise they want you to focus on so they can perform their sleight of hand off the center stage.....call me cynical. I've seen too much of these crooks in action.
