The White Houses Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is planning to investigate the Environmental Protection Agencys (EPA) decision to spend more than $43,000 for a soundproof booth for Administrator Scott Pruitt.
OMB Director Mick Mulvaney told lawmakers on the House Appropriations Committee about the plans to probe the booth Wednesday at a hearing of the committees subpanel that oversees the OMB.
Mulvaney said that since the Government Accountability Office (GAO) ruled Monday that the spending on the booth was a violation of the Antideficiency Act, OMB will investigate.
We take the Antideficiency statute very, very seriously. And if theyve been broken, well follow the rules, he told Rep. Mike Quigley (Ill.), the subpanels top Democrat.

(13,783 posts)... apostrophe from the subject of my post. You can have it for Pruitt's.
What is it with these apostrophes. They show up wrong half the time.

So OMB said it's illegal - and what happens? Any consequences?
I don't think so.

(12,586 posts)It probably cost the show a good deal less than $43,000 to make.
