To all real DUers. Put on your thinking caps, use your critical thinking skills...

Disrupters are getting more and more active in preparation for midterms. My advice before you join in a Hillary/Bernie discussion
1. Ignore the post
2. Trash the thread
3. Block the poster if you question their legitimacy (low post count or something else seems “off” in tone or language)

I know of quite a few oldies with rather large post counts that I definitely consider to be trolls. I got rid of my ignore list after the election and have begun building it recently since there is simply no good reason to be going after those who are actively working for us except sour grapes and an inability not to fall in love with their candidate making letting go impossible. Anyone still fighting like they are are not thinking clearly and may never be able to after all the crap I have read here. I see quite a few must be posting to your OP. IGNORE the people you think are trolls or are making your experience less than informative. They have little to offer. Keeping them around to read the few things they post that are actually informative is just not worth it.

YMMV

but I just post here and don't consider myself to be a DUer. I'll stay for awhile and then when I've had enough of what I consider to be the preaching to the choir echo chamber I'll leave for a year or 2 and then check back in until I've had enough. I think my disenchantment with DU for long term came with the changes and redesign along with the juries and everything.
I still recognize many of the usernames from many years ago.

I believe there are still legitimate discussions about Bernie/Hillary--only 1 of whom is a member of the Democratic Party, but that some may not like to read what is written or vehemently disagree with it doe not necessarily make the poster a troll or we could just consider them all to be trolls and let god or a jury sort it out. I just hope Democrats can learn from past mistakes and keep a big tent, hanging together on the broad things they have in common rather than splintering (how Republicans love it when we do that because honestly, we love it when they do it as well).
The Democratic Party desperately needs to pass the torch to a new generation and as a senior citizen myself I would be more than happy to vote for candidates too young to collect Social Security and retreads from past elections rehashing past campaigns and making excuses for not winning. There are no perfect candidates overall and each of us cannot have our own personal and perfect candidate who is capable of being elected by millions of others.

So I'm here until I'm not which probably applies to all of us to one degree or another.
